We may be a little behind on some of our posts, but that doesn't mean we haven't been having fun!
The service committee hosted a White Elephant Service Exchange on October 9th. Not only did we have an awesome turnout, but each spouse left with something special. Each participant brought either a handmade item (already finished) or a service that they would provide for the spouse who won their offering.
Spouses could pick a new item from the middle or "steal" a service from another spouse. There were a couple of in-demand items. (One service could only be stolen twice before it was deemed "frozen.")
Examples of the services offered included free babysitting (very popular, as you might imagine), piano lessons, free photo session, homemade baby items (like shoes, wipes cases, etc.), and homemade desserts. To see a list of all the fun service prizes, click here.
Not only did we get to enrich each others lives through service, but we also got to see the many talents of our fellow spouses.
Thanks to everyone who came out and for those who organized this event!
Such a fun activity! I got a free haircut! Thank you for organizing it.
